Jatayu Earth’s Center, also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala.It stands at an altitude of 350m (1200ft) above mean sea level.

Jatayu Nature Park is holding the distinction of having the world’s largest bird sculpture (200 feet (61 m) long, 150 feet (46 m) broad, 70 feet (21 m) in height and having 15,000 square feet (1,400 m²) of floor area) of the great bird Jatayu.
   


   HISTORY BEHIND THE ANCIENT BIRD 'JATAYU'

 In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Jatayu (Sanskrit: जटायू Jaṭāyū) is a divine bird and the younger son of Aruṇa. His brother, Sampati, is a demi-god who has the form of a vulture and was an old friend of Dasharatha (Rama's father).

According to the legend, it is believed that Jatayu fell on the rocks in Chadayamangalam in Kerala after his wings were clipped off by Ravana, while taking  goddess 'sita' forcefully to lanka.  Formerly, the place was called Jatayumangalam.

This is the place which is mostly credited to the falling place of Jatayu since rocks there hold striking carvings of Jatayu's beak mark during his last breath and footprints of Lord Rama.

Jatayu is also considered as one of the first recognised person in our holy texts who sacrificed his life for the women's safety and honour. 
And that's the reason creator of this gait sculpture Mr Rajeev Anchal has appointed all the female staff for it's security of the park.

• I hope everyone can clearly the red pin-point that's the exact location where 'the Jatayu' was fallen after being attacked by 'Ravana', while trying to save 'Sita'.
• At the right-hand side of the picture, a small Island must be visible to all that's Ravana's kingdom 'The Lanka' or today we know it well as Sri Lanka.

So,its very evident that the site of attack by Ravana on Jatayu mentioned is quite accurate and his movement towards his kingdom can be clearly understood.

Hence, these texts seems to be quite accurate and if it's true India can give a lot of information to the world About excellence in medical science by researching on 'sanjeevani'.

2. Jatayu Nature park Passenger Ropeway:

• The total length of the passenger ropeway at Jatayu nature park will be 500 metres And it climbs the total altitude of 600 feet. Special cabins have been imported from Switzerland as per international safety standards.
• The ropeway carries up to 400 passengers per hour. The cable car has 16 imported cable cars from Switzerland.
• Ropeway charges are Rs. 400 for To and fro.

3. Adventure park at Jatayu Nature park:

• Adventure park at Jatayu nature park spreads over 20 acres of land across different kinds of rock formations. A trekking path through the adventure park takes you to almost 1000 feet in the nature park.
•  Apart from trekking opportunity, other fun activities at Jatayu adventure park will be Paintball, laser tag, archery, air-rifle shooting, mountain biking etc..

4. Ayurvedic cave resorts at Jatayu Nature Park:
